Our ranch offers a unique opportunity for individuals and small groups alike to train their bird dogs, gun dogs or engage in pheasant hunting, all while enjoying the beauty of Finland’s countryside. Situated conveniently via accessible roads yet safely removed from their dangers, Välimäki Ranch provides a secure training and hunting environment for dogs of all types.

Our ranch features both open fields and managed forests, totaling 30 hectares where the Vihtijoki river runs through. Here, you are offered exclusive access to explore, train, and unwind.

Self-Guided Gun Dog Training

Whether you’re coaching a young pup based on the guidance of trainers or your own experience or seeking to rejuvenate your hunting partner’s advancement before the season kicks off, Välimäki-ranch provides a healthy and dynamic environment with flight-capable birds to facilitate effective training sessions tailored to your schedule. Launchers aren’t used, ensuring a natural approach to training. Book exclusive two-three hour sessions at a modest price and enjoy the challenge and thrill of your dog’s training.

Pheasant Hunts

Experience self-guided pheasant hunts in our expansive and varied terrain, ensuring an uninterrupted adventure as no others will traverse the area concurrently. Pheasants are strategically placed couple of hours prior to your arrival, allowing for an authentic hunting experience. You will book the convenient time suitable for you, and the costs are straightforward, covering terrain access and the number of birds chosen.

Facilities and Additional Services

Välimäki-ranch prides itself on offering more than just a hunting ground. The ranch features a cozy fireplace area, near main building, perfect for short breaks between or after hunting. Ranch also offers another fireplace beside Vihti River, allowing you to enjoy relaxed moments with your hunting companions. We offer an authentic Finnish experience in our modern smoke sauna; consider renting towels or purchasing refreshments for additional comfort. Our guest cabin provides cozy affordable accommodations with convenient amenities, enabling a relaxed stay at the ranch.

After your endeavors, gather at the firepit to grill sausages, with options for tailored catering services.

Crucial to our operations are the well-cared-for, vigorous pheasants, grown from eggs to adults with enriched, varied diets enhancing their vitality. Committed to the conservation of local pheasant populations, we periodically release birds into the wild, supporting their adaptation safely with continuous feeding programs.

Ranch Master, Pekka: With nearly four decades of hunting experience, Pekka’s dedication to the sport is a lifestyle. He has a plethora of experience hunting ranges across various breeds, which leads to a deep understanding and joy, stemming from nature’s simplicity and the thrill of actively engaging in hunting pursuits.
